- The will of God -
Be joyful always, pray at all times, and be thankful in all circumstances. This is what God wants
from you in your life in union with Christ Jesus.
(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Theme: Trust in God¡¯s will, not my competence
Today scripture, ¡®Be joyful always, pray at all times, be thankful in all circumstances¡¯ is nice thing to say, but it is a good burden like an unworkable proposition.
It might be understood; ¡®Why not go for it? Challenge to rejoice, pray all times, and be thankful in all circumstances.¡¯
When we get stuck with a way to fulfill it through thinking of what to do base on this message, we may miss more to the point.
This is the God¡¯s¡¯ will. We might feel it is inoperable in practice. However, if we approach from the God¡¯s will of view point and volition, we can turn impossibility to a possibility. .God took Abram outside and said, "Look up at the heavens and count the stars--if indeed you can count them." Then God said to him, "So shall your offspring be." (Genesis 15: 5)
If Abram acknowledged his position, he might not give heed to what God said and simply thought the words as a pep talk or a well wishing remark. However Abram tried to be comprehended the word from the God almighty, and he was convinced and committed.
Abram was justified in belief by God almighty. From that moment things pan out as token of the promise of God. God is not the one who gives tasks and figures out the possibility of fulfilling them.
God send us to the wildness, and yet He feeds us food and drink as well as providing shelters. Therefore God anticipates that we are always joyful, and God holds in store for it.
God always want to communicate with us and He always holds His door open. God is the one who achieves every thing for us. Therefore sometimes God seems bent on making difficult for the worldly things though, but all those things are one of His planned means to manage the goodness for us. God wants us to perceive it.
We have to believe in God to be joyful always, to pray at all times, and to be thankful in all circumstances. We have to trust in God¡¯s will, and His power to turn impossibility to a possibility as He planned. We have to be convinced and committed of the God almighty being competent to achieve His goal. If so, what God have wished for will be done to bless us.
